I SPY. Version two.
Visual Description.
Harry Duke had been secretly dealing in drugs, but the law just never had enough evidence to convict him. Being the son of the local politician at the inland city of Hamilton, he married Joni, a local beauty and they had two lovely children. Mixing with local members of a bike gang he soon had a reputation not to be questioned by his friends and family. It was also known he became the master mind for many home and business robberies netting thousands of dollars in expensive electrical goods, also the organiser of car conversions, mostly late model luxury models.
A rival gang from the next town arrived and decided to try and take over and get rid of Harry and his gang, but being a smart fellow he disappeared not even telling his wife or family. There was much fighting between the gangs; many were arrested but still no sign of Harry. A well-known gang house was raided, catching the members by surprise and netting the police with large quantities of assorted drugs, much electrical goods but still no clues as to his whereabouts.
Joni decided to go to the police for their help in locating her husband, she also put notices in the local paper and the television network placed missing persons announcement. By now the police were concerned about the danger Joni was in and placed the whole family in a safe hideaway.
The unrest with the gangs continued and there was soon more bloodshed and arrests, city folk were getting concerned for their safety.
It was a cold evening in late autumn, James was enjoying a walk along the cliffs near a small coastal town of Raglan, the pounding waves smashed among the rocks far below, overhead the gulls were squawking. As the biting wind came in gusts he was pleased that he had worn his fleecy lined jacket, which held out most of the chill, his thoughts were of the peace and solitude that was there on the rugged coastline, far from the hustle and bustle of the city and the problems among the gangs.
He glazed into the frothy sea below and thought he made out a dark object bobbing up and down, at first he thought it was an exposed rock but the longer he stared it moved closer to the shore.
James decided to satisfy his curiosity remembering a narrow pathway that wound down to the small beach below so he carefully made his way down finally to a sandy patch where he noticed the waves had brought the object above the water line.
The object materialised into the form of what looked like a male body, dressed in a dark suit, tie and shoes. On closer examination he noticed his baldhead, he rolled the body over to see his face and to his horror recognised the remains of Harry Duke.
Looking down on the still form James wondered why this well educated person decided to put aside a brilliant career to satisfy his greed for fame and fortune from the underworld. Taking a closer look he noticed a neatly placed hole in the middle of his forehead surrounded by ghastly powder burns, which James new he had been killed at close range.
James stood there in silence for a while before using his mobile phone to call the police, they arrived with a helicopter to retrieve the body, as it was hoisted up James sadly watched as the body of his younger brother was being taken to the awaiting ambulance .Now it was his job to break the tragic news to the rest of the family.
